Foreign-based organizations and U.S.-based organizations that receive foreign funding are prohibited from making contributions (including in-kind contributions) to candidates or political campaign committees

Prohibited activities include campaign advertising, paying campaign workers, and providing training for campaign or election staff

The Speaker of the Senate and Speaker of the House of Representatives are barred from approving acceptance of funding from foreign-based or foreign-funded organizations

The Secretary of State is similarly prohibited from approving funding from foreign-based or foreign-funded organizations

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law
