Licensed or registered healthcare providers who completed a peer assistance program or substance use treatment as part of a disciplinary order may petition to have that adverse action removed from the public-facing licensure verification website after 5 years from program completion

The relevant licensing board must review and decide on each removal request, and if approved, remove the information from the public website

The underlying disciplinary order remains a public record under Tennessee law despite removal from the verification website

The Division of Health Related Boards is authorized to promulgate rules to implement the act

Effective July 1, 2025 for general purposes; effective immediately upon becoming law for rulemaking purposes (passed March 10, 2025; approved March 28, 2025)
