Redefines "athletic trainer" as a healthcare provider authorized to use manual techniques, physical modalities (heat, light, sound, cold, electricity), and therapeutic devices for prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries under physician supervision

Expands the definition of "healthcare procedures" athletic trainers may perform to include rectal core thermometer administration, blood glucose monitoring, injection administration, wound closure, dry needling application, and intravenous fluid administration

Requires athletic trainers to be licensed and certified in good standing by the Board of Certification (BOC), replacing references to the NATA Board of Certification

Allows out-of-state applicants with expired licenses that were in good standing at expiration to take the jurisprudence examination if BOC-certified

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law
