New real estate brokers must complete 120 additional classroom hours within 3 years of receiving their original license as a requirement for license reissuance

After completing the initial 120-hour requirement, brokers must complete 16 classroom hours every 2 years for ongoing license renewal

Brokers originally licensed before January 1, 2005, who do not supervise any affiliate brokers are exempt from the biennial 16-hour continuing education requirement

All education must be completed at schools, colleges, or universities approved by the Tennessee Real Estate Commission

Act takes effect January 1, 2026
