Collection stations operated by a licensed medical laboratory owner in Tennessee no longer require a separate license, regardless of where collected specimens are transported, provided the owner maintains ownership and oversight of the stations

Medical laboratory owners must maintain and produce all relevant, non-privileged records associated with their collection stations to the board during complaint investigations

Collection stations operated by persons who are not owners of a Tennessee-licensed medical laboratory must obtain a separate license from the board

All collection stations must comply with rules prescribed by the board
