Garnishees must place a hold on a judgment debtor's available funds and determine if they possess the debtor's money or property within 2 business days of receiving a garnishment

Garnishees are solely responsible for furnishing copies of garnishment summons and notices to judgment debtors via first class mail or actual delivery, and must do so only after placing holds on funds

Allows recovery of reasonable attorney fees for breach of warranty claims on negotiable instruments if the warrantor fails to pay within 30 days of receiving written notice via certified mail or commercial courier

Amends multiple sections of Tennessee Code (Titles 26, 47) governing garnishment procedures and commercial paper warranty claims

Passed March 28, 2025 and approved by Governor Bill Lee on April 11, 2025, taking effect immediately
