Creates a Class E felony for knowingly placing a child in imminent danger of death, bodily injury, or physical or mental impairment through act or omission

Elevates the offense to a Class B felony when the victim is 8 years of age or younger

Specifically defines unlawful exposure to fentanyl, carfentanil, remifentanil, alfentanil, thiafentanil, or fentanyl derivatives as conduct placing a child in imminent danger

Requires proof through analysis of the child's blood, hair, fingernail, urine, or other bodily substance showing presence of the specified substances

Takes effect July 1, 2025
