State agencies may revoke or suspend a business license, permit, or certificate upon receiving written notice from a local zoning authority that the business is not in compliance with local zoning laws, provided notice is received within 30 days of license issuance or renewal

Business owners may appeal revocations or suspensions under the Uniform Administrative Procedures Act, and licenses must be reinstated once the zoning authority confirms the business has come into compliance

Reinstatement fees up to the original license cost may be charged to non-compliant business owners, or to the local zoning authority if the business was wrongly cited as non-compliant

Beginning July 1, 2025, registers of deeds cannot record property conveyance deeds unless they include the property's current zoning classification along with a disclaimer that zoning may change

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law and applies to zoning violations occurring on or after the effective date
