Allows certain public employees to request their personal information be kept confidential, including home addresses, telephone numbers, social security numbers, dates of birth, and official photographs

Eligible personnel include active or former law enforcement officers, correctional officers, DCS investigators, revenue collection personnel, judges, court staff, district attorneys general, and public defenders

Requires individuals to submit written requests to each state or local government agency holding their records to activate the confidentiality protection

Confidential information may still be released in response to court orders, subpoenas, or active law enforcement investigations

Protected information must be redacted from public records, but the presence of confidential data cannot be used to deny access to otherwise public documents
