Juveniles adjudicated delinquent for making threats of mass violence (§ 39-17-308(a)(5)) must have their driving privileges or ability to obtain a driver license suspended for one year

First-time juvenile offenders may be eligible for a restricted license allowing travel to and from school, work, and church services only

Restricted licenses explicitly exclude travel to social events or extracurricular school activities

Juvenile offenders must present a certified copy of the court order and pay a $20 application fee to the Department of Safety within 10 days to obtain a restricted license

Takes effect July 1, 2025, applying to offenses committed on or after that date
