TN HB1030

Adds financial hardship as a new category for parole fee waivers, covering parolees whose income cannot meet basic household necessities or who cannot find gainful employment despite reasonable efforts

Requires the Tennessee Department of Correction to waive supervision fees and other required payments for parolees experiencing documented hardship

Allows parolees who fall more than two months behind on required contributions to request a hardship reevaluation rather than face automatic parole revocation

Waives both past-due and future contribution requirements for parolees determined to be experiencing financial hardship, until the hardship ends

Takes effect July 1, 2025
