Department of Education must conduct a landscape analysis of teacher evaluation practices in Tennessee and other states, in consultation with the State Board of Education

A teacher evaluation advisory committee of experienced Tennessee educators and experts will be convened to review current state evaluation practices and report recommendations to the department, after which the committee dissolves

Advisory committee meetings may be held virtually

Final report including the landscape analysis, committee recommendations, and additional department/state board recommendations must be submitted to the Senate Education Committee and relevant House committee by January 31, 2026

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law
