Prohibits farm owners or operators from confining breeding pigs (female pigs 6+ months old or pregnant) in enclosures with less than 24 square feet of useable floor space per pig

Prohibits confining calves raised for veal in enclosures with less than 43 square feet of useable floor space per calf

Requires confined animals to have enough space to lie down, stand up, fully extend their limbs, and turn in a complete circle without touching enclosure walls or other animals

Exemptions include medical research, veterinary procedures, transportation, fair exhibitions, temporary husbandry periods (limited to 6 hours per day/24 hours per month), and breeding pigs within 5 days of giving birth or while nursing

Violations classified as Class B misdemeanors with fines of $250 to $1,000 per animal confined improperly; effective date of July 1, 2030
