Creates the "school safety grant fund" within the state general fund to support local education agencies (LEAs) and public charter schools with prevention, reduction, and response efforts related to school shootings

Grants are available to LEAs and public charter schools that have experienced a shooting or firearm-related death on school grounds during a school day while students were present

Priority for grants is based on need evaluation, including availability of school resource officers, number of firearm-related incidents in the past 2 school years, and financial resources of the applicant

Department of Education must submit annual reports to legislative committees on program status and grant allocations, beginning March 1, 2026

Fund does not revert to the general fund at fiscal year end; unspent money carries forward until expended
