Digital driver licenses may be used for identification purposes with law enforcement, alcohol sellers, and others, but are explicitly prohibited for voter identification at polling places

No fees may be charged for participation in the digital driver license system by the department or its contractors

Data obtained from digital license use must not be retained longer than 3 calendar days and cannot be sold except to law enforcement, authorized government entities, or pursuant to court subpoena

Biometric identifiers (fingerprints, iris scans, face geometry) cannot be captured except for photo verification, and geolocation data collection is prohibited entirely

Digital licenses must be disabled immediately when a physical license is suspended, cancelled, or revoked, and removed from devices within 20 days if not restored
