Children with elevated blood lead levels must be immediately screened for potential educational services under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA)

Children diagnosed with lead poisoning must receive mandated wraparound services; parents or guardians may opt out of testing and referrals

Federally-funded juvenile detention facilities must provide wraparound services for juveniles known to have elevated blood lead levels or lead poisoning, in collaboration with the Department of Health and local education agencies

Pregnant women receiving WIC vouchers must undergo blood lead level testing, with those testing positive receiving specialized nutritional services, education on lead mitigation, and other wraparound services
