Establishes term limits of three 4-year terms (12 years total) for both the Mayor and Aldermen positions in the City of Bartlett, applying to terms as each office comes up for election after the effective date

Requires sitting mayors or aldermen who run for a different position on the Board (when their current seat is not up for reelection) to submit an irrevocable resignation effective at the oath of office ceremony following that election

Grants the mayor authority to make appointments, promotions, transfers, demotions, suspensions, and removals of city employees with or without notice and with or without cause

Updates non-discrimination protections for city employment to prohibit discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age (40+), disability, or genetic information

Requires two-thirds approval by the City of Bartlett legislative body before taking effect; passed April 21, 2025 and approved by Governor Bill Lee on May 21, 2025
