Joint airport boards established by two municipalities and two counties through interlocal agreements receive all powers of both joint boards and regional airport authorities under Tennessee law

Such joint boards are designated as public instrumentalities of the creating governments and public body corporate and politic entities under state law

Joint boards may file a charter with the Secretary of State as a public nonprofit corporation to establish their corporate existence

Governance structure, board member terms, and board composition must be established in the interlocal agreement rather than other statutory provisions

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law
