Motor vehicle registration (initial and renewal) requires proof of U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or federally authorized presence in the country

Tennessee driver licenses or photo IDs serve as acceptable proof of citizenship/residency status for vehicle registration purposes; electronic documentation on cell phones is permitted
