Legislative branch field day requires a visit to a city council, county commission, or the General Assembly

Judicial branch field day requires a courthouse visit to observe proceedings or meet with a judge or court official

Executive branch field day requires a visit to the office of a mayor, county executive, or the governor

Schools are not required to reschedule visits for absent students and may prohibit students from attending for disciplinary reasons; applies beginning with the 2026-2027 school year
