Local governing bodies in Tennessee may allow members to participate in community meetings via electronic means (video or audio conference)

Public must be able to view/listen to meetings in real time electronically and participate remotely if public participation is normally permitted

Meeting notices must include a statement about electronic participation, physical location address (if applicable), and information for public electronic access

Recordings must be posted on the governing body's website within 4 business days, remain published for at least 1 year, and be retained for at least 3 years

Voting on any matter is prohibited during community meetings where members participate electronically
