State governmental entities must disclose records and information to General Assembly members to evaluate compliance with state laws and assess whether laws need modification

Legislators may submit written requests for records after receiving written inquiries about law compliance or potential law changes, and must provide information to help locate the requested records

Members must sign a confidentiality form acknowledging state and federal privacy laws and penalties for unauthorized disclosure before reviewing records

All records must remain in the governmental entity's possession during review; requests for additional records require discussion between the member and the entity about disclosure circumstances

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law
