Allows Tennessee public universities to suspend faculty members, including tenured faculty, without pay during investigations or hearings when a president or chancellor finds adequate cause exists for termination

Requires chief executive officers of Board of Regents institutions and state university boards selected on or after July 1, 2026 to be confirmed by both the Tennessee Senate and House of Representatives

Requires the president of the University of Tennessee system appointed on or after July 1, 2026 to be confirmed by both legislative chambers

Automatically terminates employment of any unconfirmed chief executive officer or UT system president if either chamber fails to confirm within 90 calendar days after the next regular legislative session begins

Takes effect upon becoming law for policy adoption purposes; all other provisions take effect July 1, 2026
