Expands eligibility for lifetime orders of protection to include felony offenses committed in other states that would qualify as covered offenses if committed in Tennessee

Establishes that out-of-state offenses must be treated as qualifying offenses if their elements match comparable Tennessee offenses, even if not identically named

Sets venue for in-state offense petitions in the county where the respondent resides, where the offense occurred, or where the petitioner resides if the respondent is out-of-state

Sets venue for out-of-state offense petitions in the county where the respondent resides, or where the petitioner resides if the respondent is out-of-state

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law
