Tennessee Advisory Commission on Intergovernmental Relations (TACIR) must study crime stoppers programs statewide, assessing data collection capabilities, funding stability, and partnerships with law enforcement and communities

TACIR must recommend improvements including increased statewide coordination, greater public engagement, higher tip volume, and consistent program standards across the state

State and local governmental entities are required to comply with TACIR's requests for information; the study must be conducted using TACIR's existing resources

TACIR must report findings and proposed legislation to the Senate Judiciary Committee chair and the relevant House criminal justice committee chair

Effective date: July 1, 2026
