Requires individuals who have resided in Tennessee for more than 30 days and are not lawfully present in the U.S. to register with and submit to an interview with the Department of Safety

Department of Safety must determine within 30 days of the interview whether each person is eligible for a one-year re-entry visa

Eligible persons must depart the U.S. within 90 days, remain outside the country for at least 30 days, then may re-enter lawfully using the one-year visa

Persons who complete the one-year period without committing a criminal offense become eligible to apply for a permanent resident card under federal immigration law

Persons deemed ineligible for the visa program must leave the U.S. within 30 days of receiving notice; the act takes effect 30 days after USCIS establishes implementing regulations
