Employers paying monthly must provide wages earned before the first of any month by the fifth day of the following month; piece-work or commission employees must be paid by the last day of the succeeding month.

Employees who quit or are discharged must receive full payment by the next regular pay day or within 21 days, whichever occurs later.

Piece-work and commission employees who separate from employment must be paid by the last day of the month following their departure.

Employers are prohibited from securing any exemption from the final pay requirements.

Effective date is July 1, 2026, applying to wages earned on or after that date.
