Requires 40 hours of mandatory community service for misdemeanor convictions, excluding traffic offenses and fine-only offenses

Community service must be completed with court-approved nonprofits, government entities, public schools, or community-based programs and documented in writing

For those serving confinement, community service becomes a mandatory condition of early release on parole

Applies to offenses committed on or after July 1, 2026
