State and local agencies, including public schools, LEAs, and charter schools, are prohibited from requiring disclosure of a child's immigration status as a condition for enrollment, attendance, or receiving services for children under 18 years of age.

The prohibition applies to the Department of Children's Services (Title 37) and the Department of Human Services (Title 71) specifically, in addition to general state and local agencies.

Exceptions allow immigration status disclosure requirements when explicitly mandated by federal law, state law, or court order.

The act explicitly preserves compliance with federal immigration law and cooperation with federal authorities as required by law.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law, citing public welfare necessity.
