Creates an $800 annual pay supplement for full-time certified local correctional officers who complete at least 40 hours of institute-approved in-service training each calendar year

Requires officers to complete a minimum of 8 months of full-time service to qualify, with exceptions for death, retirement, medical disability, or active military service during armed conflict

Defines eligible "local correctional officers" as jail administrators, jailers, deputy sheriffs, guards, or correctional officers employed by local governments in a correctional capacity and certified with the institute

Prohibits funds from supplanting existing salaries or normal salary increases, and excludes officers who already receive training supplements through the Tennessee Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission

Takes effect July 1, 2026, contingent on funds being specifically appropriated by the board
