Requires employers to pay 100% of health insurance premiums for state and local law enforcement officers killed or catastrophically injured in the line of duty on or after January 1, 2020, as well as for their spouse and eligible dependent children (including unborn children)

Defines "catastrophic injury" as permanent impairment including paraplegia, legal blindness, loss of two or more limbs, traumatic brain or spinal cord injury, second- or third-degree burns, permanent disfigurement, or any condition qualifying for SSDI/SSI benefits

Covers state law enforcement officers from the Department of Safety, TBI, Wildlife Resources Agency, Alcoholic Beverage Commission, and correctional officers, plus local officers including sheriffs, deputies, police, and local correctional officers

Terminates spouse coverage if the surviving spouse becomes eligible for insurance through a subsequent marriage, though dependent children may continue coverage if they cannot obtain coverage through the new spouse's plan

Requires the state to reimburse political subdivisions for health insurance premiums or COBRA coverage expenses for local officers; effective July 1, 2026
