Honors Brittany Ramsey as the 2025-2026 Sevier County School System Grades 9-12 Teacher of the Year

Ramsey is in her ninth year teaching high school, having served at Carter High School (Knox County), Sevier County High School, and currently Gatlinburg-Pittman High School

Teaches science and mathematics courses including honors and AP physics and chemistry; expanded course offerings at Gatlinburg-Pittman to include AP Physics 1 and C: Mechanics

Helped grow Science National Honor Society chapters in the region and established a chapter at her current school

Contributed to chemistry and physics curricula development through district textbook adoption committee service and implementation of new statewide standards
