Honors the memory of Charles W. "Charlie" Holt, Jr. of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, who practiced law for nearly five decades and served as Lawrence County Attorney for more than 30 years

Recognizes his education at Middle Tennessee State University (graduated 1973) where he was a four-year football starter earning All-OVC honors for three seasons, and his law degree from University of Tennessee College of Law (1976)

Acknowledges his role as a central figure at the law firm Boston, Holt & Durham and his membership in the Tennessee Bar Foundation, Lawrence County Bar Association, and Tennessee Bar Association

Notes his community service as President of Christian Homes, Inc. and membership in the Downtown Church of Christ and Pulaski Street Church of Christ

Extends official sympathy and condolences from the 114th General Assembly to his surviving family, including his wife Martha of 52 years and children Catherine and Charles W. Holt III
