Honors the memory of Natalie Leach Haslam of Knoxville, who was born in 1931, graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1952, and was named Miss Tennessee 1951–1952

Recognizes her extensive civic service to organizations including the Knoxville Symphony Society, East Tennessee Foundation, Tennessee Arts Commission, Zoo Knoxville, and the Junior League of Knoxville

Notes she was the first woman to serve as president of the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra and the UT College of Music was named in her honor in 2024

Acknowledges honors received including UT Volunteer of the Year (1992), Distinguished Alumnus (2009 with husband Jim Haslam), and East Tennessean of the Year (2018)
