Honors Hillsboro High School for winning the Metro Nashville Public Schools High School Battle of the Books competition held on February 18, 2026, defeating 13 other district schools

The MNPS Battle of the Books is an annual book-centered trivia competition begun in 2012, sponsored by the Library Services Department to promote literacy and teamwork

Teams of five students read 12 young adult fiction and nonfiction titles, then compete through three preliminary rounds, semifinals, and finals answering 20 questions per round (100 total questions)

Hillsboro's team was coached by school librarian Joyce Claassen; 14 high schools participated in the event at the Martin Professional Development Center in Nashville

Directs that an appropriate copy of the resolution be prepared for presentation to the school
