Creates the "Rescue Squad Recognition Act" requiring all rescue squads in Tennessee to obtain recognition and authorization from the state fire marshal's office to operate

Defines rescue squads as entities performing services in at least 4 of 11 specialized disciplines (including rope rescue, dive rescue, swiftwater rescue, confined space rescue), with 85% of personnel meeting NFPA 1006 standards and at least 75% volunteers

Establishes a certification process with application and renewal fees not exceeding $50, certificates valid for 3 years, and requires approval from local elected governing bodies for new rescue squads

Provides exemptions for rescue squads chartered before July 1, 2025 that do not meet the new definition, allowing them to apply for recognition under modified requirements

Violations constitute a Class C misdemeanor punishable by a $50 fine only, with the act taking effect July 1, 2025 for all purposes except rulemaking
