Requires the Tennessee Department of Mental Health to develop and implement a statewide suicide prevention program with community-based partnerships and local organizations

Mandates the program include interventions for individuals who have threatened or attempted suicide, postvention support for survivors and their families, and research on suicide rates among diverse populations

Requires research on reducing access to lethal means among persons at risk of suicide

Department must submit an annual report to legislative health committees by January 1 each year with program updates and research-based recommendations

Takes effect July 1, 2025, for program implementation; rulemaking authority takes effect immediately upon becoming law
