Mandates suppliers to disclose to food establishments whether fish is farm-raised or wild, and the country of origin; establishments acting in good faith reliance on supplier information are exempt from penalties

Exempts certain entities from requirements: retailers already subject to federal COOL laws (7 U.S.C. §§ 1638-1638d), hospitals, groups of 10+ preordering food, and shellfish including crab, lobster, oyster, crayfish, clam, and scallops

Establishes escalating civil penalties within a 24-month period: written warning for first violation, $100 per commodity for second, $250 for third, $500 for fourth, and $1,000 for fifth or subsequent violations

Effective July 1, 2026; enforcement handled by Department of Agriculture for food establishments and Department of Health for food service establishments, with penalties deposited into respective agency operational accounts
