Tennessee Advisory Commission on Intergovernmental Relations (TACIR) must study crime stoppers programs statewide, assessing data collection capabilities, funding streams and stability, and partnerships between crime stoppers organizations, law enforcement, and communities

TACIR must recommend improvements including increased statewide coordination, greater public engagement, enhanced law enforcement effectiveness, stronger community-law enforcement trust, and consistent program standards

State and local governmental entities are required to comply with TACIR's requests for information and input

TACIR must report findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the Senate Judiciary Committee chair and the House criminal justice committee chair, with a copy to the legislative librarian

Effective date: July 1, 2026; study must be conducted using TACIR's existing resources
