Existing local rules of procedure automatically become temporary rules for newly elected county legislative bodies until new rules are adopted

Newly elected county legislative bodies must adopt local rules of procedure by majority vote within 90 days of convening

Changes to rules of procedure proposed after initial adoption require a two-thirds (2/3) majority vote for approval

Robert's Rules of Order (latest edition) governs any procedural questions not addressed in adopted local rules

Applies to all counties, including those with metropolitan or charter forms of government
