Requires the Peace Officer Standards and Training Commission to issue a certificate of compliance to law enforcement officers upon separation from service or retirement

Former officers may renew certification annually if they completed approved recruit training, maintain current in-service training, obtain a letter of good standing from their former agency, and prove Tennessee residency

Former officers must pay associated certification fees and satisfy all other commission requirements to maintain their certification

Certified former officers are not entitled to any pay supplement for maintaining this certification

Certification becomes ineligible for renewal if the former officer moves out of Tennessee; officers must immediately notify the commission upon becoming a resident of another state
