TN SB1814

Creates a Class A misdemeanor offense for intentionally moving without replacing, altering, destroying, or removing land surveying monuments when a person knows or reasonably should know the monument's purpose

Defines three categories of protected monuments: geodetic control monuments (established by surveyors/agencies), historic land surveying monuments (marking state/county/city boundaries), and property corner monuments (marking property lines recorded with county register of deeds)

Protected monuments include metal pins, brass/aluminum disks, iron pipes, rebar, concrete markers, highway right-of-way markers, stones, trees, and other permanent or semi-permanent markers
