Authorizes LEAs, public charter schools, public school teachers, and public higher education faculty to provide instruction on "positive impacts of religion on American history" when teaching American history courses

Specifies 19 permissible instructional topics including: Pilgrim history and the Mayflower Compact, religious references in the Declaration of Independence, the First and Second Great Awakenings, George Washington's views on religion, the Ten Commandments' influence on American law, and religious influences on the Civil Rights Movement

Declares legislative findings that teaching religion's "historical, positive impact" on American history is consistent with the First Amendment and does not constitute proselytization

Applies to both K-12 public schools and public institutions of higher education in Tennessee

Takes effect July 1, 2026, beginning with the 2026-2027 academic year
