Establishes the volunteer firefighter equipment and training grant program to provide annual grants for purchasing firefighting equipment or meeting federal grant match requirements for equipment and training

Creates a separate rescue squad grant program for annual grants to purchase firefighting and rescue equipment for municipal, county, or nonprofit rescue organizations

Volunteer firefighter grant funds must be equally divided among Tennessee's three grand divisions

Commissioner of commerce and insurance will promulgate rules for evaluating applications and selecting grant recipients, with unexpended funds rolling over to subsequent fiscal years rather than reverting to the general fund

Effective July 1, 2026
