Cites conservation concerns including a 50% population decline in the southern bog turtle population over two decades, with fewer than 2,000 remaining

Notes only 500 acres of mountain bog habitat remain across the species' entire southern range, with habitat destruction and poaching identified as primary threats

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law
