Speakers of the Senate and House of Representatives will determine the number of conferences or conference days members may attend while receiving expense and mileage allowances

The approved number of conferences or conference days must be equal for both Senate and House members

"Conference" is defined broadly to include conferences, symposiums, workshops, assemblages, gatherings, or other official meetings related to state business and legislative duties, whether held in-state or out-of-state

Amends Tennessee Code Annotated, Section 3-1-106 by adding a new subdivision (a)(2)

Effective date: November 3, 2026
