Establishes streamlined subpoena compliance procedures for deferred compensation plans and the retirement system, allowing administrators to submit certified record copies within 14 days rather than requiring personal attendance in court proceedings where they are not a party.

Requires monthly retirement benefit payments to continue through the month in which a retired member or beneficiary dies, ensuring a final payment is issued for the month of death.

Creates special provisions for members who retired between July 1, 2022, and June 30, 2027, and returned to temporary reemployment without a bona fide separation of service—these cases will be treated as in-service distributions with corrected tax reporting.

Mandates that members discovered to lack a bona fide separation of service must complete their temporary reemployment period and then have a genuine separation before starting another temporary reemployment period.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
