Requires individuals who have resided in Tennessee for more than 30 days and are not lawfully present in the United States to register with and submit to an interview with the Department of Safety

Department of Safety must determine within 30 days of the interview whether each person is eligible for a one-year visa for re-entry to the United States and Tennessee

Eligible individuals must depart the United States within 90 days, remain outside for at least 30 days, then may use the one-year visa to re-enter lawfully; completing the year without a criminal offense makes them eligible to apply for a permanent resident card

Individuals deemed ineligible for the one-year visa must leave the United States within 30 days of receiving the denial notice

Act takes effect 30 days after U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services establishes implementing rules and regulations
