Private schools receiving public funds through Individual Education Accounts (IEAs), Education Savings Accounts (ESAs), or scholarships must designate daily time for students to stand and recite the Pledge of Allegiance, following constitutional protections.

Participating schools must provide age-appropriate civics and American history instruction, though schools already including these subjects in social studies need not alter their curriculum.

Schools are prohibited from including or promoting concepts listed in § 49-6-1019(a) in any course, curriculum, or instructional materials, and cannot advocate for foreign laws that would violate state or federal constitutional rights.

Military recruiting representatives, including ROTC, must be granted campus access during school hours to inform students about military educational and career opportunities.
