Foster parents who have cared for a child for 9 or more consecutive months must receive a copy of any termination of parental rights petition filed for that child

The department must provide the petition copy within 7 days of filing (if department is petitioner) or within 7 days of being served (if another party is petitioner)

The department must provide foster parents with all information about the child's family background and health history in a timely manner, with ongoing updates as relevant to the child's care

Confidential information received by foster parents, including termination petitions, must be kept confidential except when necessary to protect the child's health and welfare
